Regen !! Geen probleem met de video's van o.a. Lorna Shore, In Flames, Oak en Mother Of Millions

Lorna Shore
Lorna Shore staat aan het begin van een nieuwe reis met de release van Pain Remains I : Dancing Like Flames dat 14 oktober uitgebracht zal worden. Geen nood, de heren zetten nog altijd een stevige pot deathcore neer.
Lorna Shore: “The Pain Trilogy is a three part tale focusing on the stages of grief and vulnerability and exemplifying it through a love story. The first song, “Pain Remains I: Dancing like Flames” begins with the main character becoming enamored by the person within his dreams. He decides to turn to this reality as a sense of purpose despite knowing that the closer he gets to his goal, the further it seems to drift away.”

In Flames
In Flames heeft aangekondigd dat het nieuwe album Foregone volgend jaar februari uitkomt via Nuclear Blast Records.
Frontman Anders Fridén zegt erover: “Going into the Foregone sessions, we wanted to make a record that was heavily guitar-driven, and that had a strong foundation between the bass and drums. We still approached our songwriting the same way, as we always have, as a juxtaposition between melody and aggression. That’s the DNA of our music. From the lyrical end of things, there was no shortage of inspiration to draw from, especially the concept of time.”
“Humanity as a whole was forced to slow down and take breather. In that break, many of us spent time evaluating and reprioritizing. Time is a constant, but what do we do with it and how we perceive it varies. Especially now looking at where the world seems to be headed faster than ever before.”
“It’s crazy that after everything we are still here and on our fourteenth album. I feel that we’ve found a great balance between the past, the present and the future with Forgone. This is a new era of In Flames!”

Oak
De Noorse buren van Oak lanceren hun album al op 11 november via Karisma Records. Het album heeft de titel The Quiet Rebellion Of Compromise en voor het album heeft de band gekozen om de onderwerpen rond zelfmoord en geestelijke gezondheid in het algemeen centraal te stellen.

Heartlay
Heartlay is terug met de nieuwe single A Thousand Debris. Deze energieke compositie geeft het unieke geluid van de band weer. Een geluid met stevige metalriffs en industriële elementen.

Circles
Vanuit Melbourne is Circles weer terug en brengen op 25 november de nieuwe EP The Stories We Are Afraid Of volume 1 uit via Wild Thing Records. Je kunt nu al kennismaken met de nieuwe EP met de single Dig. Volume 1 is het eerste deel van een tweeluik en het geheel volgt het album The Last One op uit 2018.
Frontman Ben Rechter : “The overarching theme of Vol.1 is one of a loss of identity and purpose, and trying to recapture a sense of wonder and passion for life that was once a core part of you. Musically, we went into these writing sessions with a focus on being more direct than on previous albums, steering away from crowding songs with heaps of different riffs for the sake of having more riffs that we personally like in there.”
Over de single zegt Ben Rechter: “This is all about those first steps out of that dark hole. Your mind fights against you, and everything feels like it’s not going to work, but it’s not necessarily about success, at least not in the beginning. It’s about starting to change what you need to change, even if on the first day, all you can do is make sure you step outside and see the sun.”

Meshuggah
Aan de vooravond van hun US tour zet Meshuggah de video van I Am That Thirst online, een compositie die ook te vinden is op het eerder dit jaar uitgebrachte album Immutable.
Daarbij worden de albums Nothing en Koloss op 25 november opnieuw uitgebracht via Atomic Fire.

After Taste
Eye On The Prize is de nieuwe single van het Nederlandse After Taste. Opgeriocht in 2016 door Dave Meester (God Dethroned) heeft de band zich gericht op een mix van industriële, Gothic en doommetal begeleid door dance-, trip hop- en ambientelementen.
Dave Meester : “Eye On The Prize is not a love song. It’s about stopping at nothing to achieve success in life, and thus forgetting to live.
We made the video for this song in typical After Taste fashion. Running and gunning – minimal preparation. We shot it during spring time in Liége, Belgium. The dirty industrial atmosphere hugging the dirty industrial music tightly… Like mold on cheese. Eye On The Prize is single 5, and we can’t wait to release more!”

Mother Of Millions
Met Orbit zet Mother Of Millions een uitstekende EP neer dit jaar. Tijdens een releaseshow voor Orbit in mei 2022 heeft de band een livevideo van Spiral opgenomen en nu online gezet.

Baest
Ook het Deense Baest heeft een livevideo online gezet. Het betreft een opname van het concert dat de band gaf tijdens Copenhell Festival waar de band het podium deelde met Metallica, KISS, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest enz.
Zelf waren ze nogal onder de indruk en vermelden: “Getting the opportunity to perform on the main stage Helviti at Denmarks greatest festival Copenhell, was monumental for us and quite unreal. This was the biggest crowd we’ve ever faced, and we hope you’ll want to relive it with us! Enjoy this live version of ‘Ecclesia’.”
