Black Stone Cherry
Black Stone Cherry gaf een streamconcert in SkyPac in Bowling Green, afgelopen oktober. Het concert kan gezien worden als promotie na de release van het laatste album The Human Condition. Van de compositie Again is nu een video verschenen.

Imminence
Vorig jaar bracht het Zweedse Imminence het album Turn The Light On uit. De band heeft nu een akoestisch liveconcert opgenomen. Daarin de composities puur gespeeld met hulp van een strijkkwartet en klassieke elementen. Een bewijs dat hun composities ook in deze setting fier overeind blijven staan.

Kayak
De legendarische Nederlandse progressieve rockband Kayak kondigde onlangs hun inmiddels 18e studioalbum ‘Out Of This World’ aan, waarvan 7 mei 2021 de release is. Na ‘Mystery’ volgt nu de tweede single ‘Waiting’. Hier de link naar de video gemaakt door Kristoffer Gildenlöw:
Ton Scherpenzeel:  “Niet het soort nummer dat men zou verwachten van Kayak, dus des te meer reden om dit te doen. We krijgen in dit liedje een klein maar ongemakkelijk kijkje in de wereld van iemand die zijn obsessie voor een ander persoon verwart met liefde.”

Trollfest
Happy Heroes is de titel van de nieuwe EP van Trollfest. De band heeft een hilarische video geschoten bij hun versie van Happy van Pharrell Williams.

Lamb Of God
Het livealbum Lamb Of God: Live In Richmond laat deze onvervalste metalband zien in hun live-glorie. Je kunt hier alvast een voorproefje bekijken met de video bij Memento Mori.

Insomnium
Met Heart Like In Grave wisten de heren van Insomnium de top van de charts in Finland en Duitsland te bereiken in 2019. Nu is er dan nieuw werk van de Finnen in de vorm van de single The Conjurer.

Pop Evil
Pop Evil staat garant voor toegankelijke metal/rock. Set Me Free is het nieuwe wapenfeit van de band.

Zanger/drummer Donovan Melero zegt hierover: “Lyrically, this song was written to outlive the relationship that it was written about. I wanted the words to hold true, no matter what the outcome, because of how strong of an emotion we felt towards each other. The chorus sums this up. ‘Wherever you end up, know that you’ve made your mark. I’m forever lost…forever caught by your moment on earth.’”

Far’n’Hate
De alternatieve rockband Far’n’Hate lanceert de single Change ft Mike Perez
Over de single en de inspiratie daarvoor zegt de band: “This is a message to the present and to the future. An epitaph to future generations for the mistakes they will have to pay for us and a call to action for those who still have the strength not to give up and fight to change things for the better. With this track, we wanted to explore a more melodic songwriting, while keeping contrast with aggressive parts, as well as a greater depth and complexity of ambience and electronic elements that embrace the song in a colder and more distant aura, intrinsic to the digital and technological aesthetics. It’s been a huge honor to have Mike Perez from No Bragging Rights joining us for this song as well. We talked about it a long time ago and wrote this song with his voice in mind. He did a brilliant performance, pushing the boundaries of the song with his unique style.“
