Even wat video's van Papa Roach, FFDP, TDWP, Chaoseum, Arsenal Mills en Subway To Sally

In het kader van wat ‘oude’ composities in een nieuw jasje of met een nieuwe video vandaag de volgende video’s:
Papa Roach
Kortgeleden kwam Papa Roach met het album Greatest Hits vol 2: The Better Noise Years met daarop wat nieuwe versies van eerder uitgebracht composities. Bij de Aelonia Remix van Help is nu een video beschikbaar.

Five Finger Death Punch
Van FFDP kun je van alles zeggen, maar feit is dat deze band ondanks alles wat er gebeurt immens populair is en blijft en gewoon dikke nummers neerzet. Van het album F8 hebben ze nu Darkness Settles In afgehaald en van een video voorzien.

Chaoseum
Het album Second Life is nu een half jaartje uit en verdient nog wel wat extra aandacht. Chaoseum is een heerlijke, naar mijn inziens ondergewaardeerde, band die zich gelukkig nu in een video bij Smile Again weer laat zien.

The Devil Wears Prada
TDWP (leuk na een video van FFDP) heeft nieuw werk klaarliggen om te delen met ons. De EP ZII komt er namelijk aan en zal op 21 mei uitgebracht worden door Solid State Records. Met Termination een leuke ‘herkennismaking’ met de band.
“I learned during the COVID-19 pandemic to imagine how a virus can seriously compromise our lives,” zegt zanger Hranica. “‘Termination‘ makes mention of that and the greed that so often comes when humans fend only for themselves or when lying to protect reputation. I didn’t want to remake any part of the lyrical imaginings of the first EP, and the transformation mentioned in ‘Termination’ is a part of the new territory I hoped to create for ‘ZII’“.

Subway To Sally
Saltatio Mortis was afgelopen week al te gast bij de video van Eskimo Callboy. Deze razendpopulaire band heeft ook een livevideo van Subway To Sally voorzien van een bijdrage.

Arsenal Mills
Terug naar de new wave/rock uit de jaren tachtig waarbij je moet denken aan het geluid van Asia of Spys. De rockers van Arsenal Mills uit Charlottetown brengen binnenkort de EP Lovesick & Broke uit. Maak kennis met de EP met de single Cry No More.
Zanger/gitarist Brad Milligan  “Griff brought this big, sing-along chorus to me that he’d been working on. From there, and in only a short time, we had all the music and lyrics written out.”
Gitarist Arsenault: “The song has an infectious, driving beat reminiscent of classic 80s New Wave, and has already proven to inspire feet to move along to it. I remember everyone in the studio at the time was dancing along to the song while we were recording,” Arsenault recalls. “We figured that was a good indication of how fun this song is!”
“As far as drums and percussion go, this was the first time we decided to mix live and sample drums in a song,” legt drummer Josh MacNeil uit. “I love how punchy and quick it is; it doesn’t mess around, and just gets straight to the point.
Toetsenist/bassist André Uyterlinde voegt nog toe: “This song has been in my head literally since the day I first heard it, It definitely has that ‘earworm’ quality; the rhythm is fairly straightforward, but there are a few little cool twists.”
