Genus Ordinis Dei heeft de derde video beschikbaar gesteld. Het betreft de single For A New God. Het is het derde wapenfeit van het nieuwe album The Beginning dat op 8 december via Eclipse Records wordt uitgebracht.
For A New God is de meest krachtige expressie van rampspoed ooit in de rockgeschienis uitgebracht. Het geheel is bijna verslavend terwijl je je door de donkere tunnels van je geest begeeft slechts eeuwig bijgelicht door zwarte fakkels. De video start met een met bloed besmeurde broer die zijn stervende zuster draagt, die hem had gevraagd om haar leven te beëindigen en haar hart te eten om de kennis die zij vergaarde bij The Fallen te bewaren.
“For this epic fight scene between The Brother and the Strongest Cannibal, we decided to film at Po’s Beach and Gombito’s Beach in Italy.” says guitarist & producer Tommy Monticelli. “Along the marshy beaches The Sister is captured by one of the two Cannibals and The Brother will have to face the strongest cannibal in a fight to the death. This is the most heartbreaking piece of the entire opera. A tribute to the bond between two siblings that, when the broken and destroyed voice of the brother is heard, makes it reverberate like thunder. It as a fantastic experience to film a bare-knuckle fight, simulating all the strength and power of a clash between men who are more like wild beasts than civilized humans. The tremendous scene with the boulder is ertainly the highest moment of the episode’s climax. In For A New God you can then see all the skill of our two makeup artists (Valentina & Beatrice) in recreating wounds, cuts and bleeding using their incredible props and SFX“
The Beginning is het vierde album van de symfonische metalband Genus Ordinis Dei en de opvolger van het prachtige Glare Of Difference. Een nieuw product waarin de band de manier waarop zij naar muziek luistert definieert met daarbij een sterk cinematisch karakter. Kort gezegd is het een buitengewoon album met daarop twaalf nieuwe composities met bijbehorende video’s die Episodes worden genoemd.
