Head Of Clay
Sinds 2020 word ik geregeld getrakteerd op nieuw werk van Head Of Clay. Steeds word ik daarbij getroffen door de eerlijke rock die de band neerzet. Old-school rock’n’roll is wat dit Australisch viertal je namelijk voorschotelt. Dat betekent dat het zangwerk van Dave ondersteund wordt door een eerlijke strakke ritmesectie terwijl de vette gitaarlicks met een snufje blues voor het toetje zorgen. Deze week schoof de band de nieuwe single Go Let’s Go uit dat afkomstig is van het debuutalbum Rise Up dat binnenkort uitgebracht zal worden.
“This song is an ode to all bands who get up on stage to entertain the crowds. After the last few years, people have forgotten to get out of the house and see live music once it all opened up again. The track screams to get back out there and support the scene with our feet. It’s a reminder that social media will never compare to thesocial livescene. In the song you can hear subtle references to some of the old school greats- AC/DC, Joan Jett, The Cars and a few more hints that a keen ear can figure out. It’s a homage to the original rockers that have paved the way for a new wave of bands.”
Resurrect Tomorrow
Het thrashmetalcollectief Resurrect Tomorrow uit de regio Utrecht brengt op 17 mei het derde album uit met daarop negen nieuwe composities. Voorafgaand aan de album release brengen zij twee singles uit inclusief videoclips. De eerste single, “The Light of Treason”, is zojuist verschenen en zal gevolgd worden door “Absolution” op 19 april.
Blacktop Mojo
Met I Can’t Tell brengt Blacktop Mojo een single op de markt die zowel door de blues als door de grunge beïnvloed is. De single is het vervolg op de single As The Light Fades. Beide single zullen te vinden zijn op het nieuwe album Pollen dat begin april uitkomt.

Hideous Divinity
Na de wat ‘mellow’-video’s mag er ook even flink met het hoofd bewogen worden. De nieuwe single van Hideous Divinity kan daar wel voor zorgen. Van het nieuwe album Unextinct is de single More Than Many, Never One uitgebracht.
