Scar Symmetry komt met tweede single

We hebben er negen jaar op moeten wachten, maar op 9 juni verschijnt dan eindelijk The Singularity (Phase II – Xenotaph) van Scar Symmetry via Nuclear Blast Records.

Gitarist Per Nilsson heeft sinds Phase I niet stil gezeten. Tussen 2017 en 2021 heeft hij de plaats van Gitarist Fredrik Thordendal ingenomen bij Meshuggah en is ondertussen ook actief in de bands Kaipa en Noctunal Rites.

De eerste twee singles beloven in ieder geval een goede pot melodische deathmetal.

Per Nilsson zegt hierover: “Phase II and its opening track ‘Chrononautilus’ picks up where Phase I and its final track ‘Technocalyptic Cybergeddon’ left off with a barrage of blastbeats and tremolo-picked riffs, setting the tone for what is arguably our most unrelenting album to date. The dystopian storyline that we created for Phase II dictated the musical direction and ‘Chrononautilus’ represents one of our furthest explorations into these pitch black realms.”
