Sevendust, Red Moon Architect, Sven Gali, Rising Insane, Damnation Angels en Amaranthe op video

Sevendust
Sevendust draait al een tijdje mee en blijft goede album afleveren waarvan All I See Is War het laatste is. Een degelijk album in de traditie van de band.
“All I See Is War is geen heel verrassend album. Het is gewoon in de beste traditie van Sevendust geschreven en kent een hoge consistentie. Fans van Sevendust kunnen het album blindelings aanschouwen en liefhebbers van een goede rockplaat met ballen doen er goed aan om Sevendust aan een nader onderzoek te onderwerpen.” (Rockportaal)
Voor de gelegenheid heeft de band zich nu tegoed gedaan aan een cover en wel The Day I Tried To Live van Soundgarden.
“Soundgarden is such an important band to all of us in Sevendust and this love for them goes all the way back to when we were starting” legt Lajon Witherspoon uit. “We discussed trying to do one of their songs and our producer Elvis suggested ‘The Day I Tried To Live.’ I would have been fine with any of those songs personally. When I first heard it, I thought the lyrics were timeless. The lyrics are about trying to experience new things and change the way you live, and we see examples of that every day with what is happening around the world. To have the chance to cover this song and release it is so special to all of us. Thank you, Chris Cornell and Soundgarden”.  

Amaranthe
“In these difficult times we’re all in need of uplifting, in need of escape from the four walls we’ve been locked up in – to be transported into a new dimension.” Volgens Nuclear Blast Records is Amaranthe het antwoord hierop. De Zweedse band brengt in oktober het nieuwe album Manifest uit en heeft nu van de single Viral een video online gezet.

Damnation Angels
Eind mei kwam Damnation Angels met een nieuwe single en een maand later is het weer raak. De band uit de UK komt met een lyricvideo bij More Than Human dat afkomstig is van het album Fiber Of Our Being dat 31 juli wordt uitgebracht.

Rising Insane
Het Duitse Rising Insane is aardig met het coveren van nummers. Deze keer hebben ze Manic uit Flashdance van een metal(core)sausje voorzien. Opvallend is dat ze voor eenzelfde compositie kiezen als het eveneens Duitse The Very End.

Red Moon Architect
23 oktober komt het Finse Red Moon Architect met het nieuwe album Emptiness Weighs The Most waarop ze laten horen wat atmosferische melancholische doommetal is. Sterke melodieën en afwisselende zang kruipt je dan onder de huid. Ervaar het zelf wanneer je de video van Rise bekijkt.

Sven Gali
In 1992 debuteerde het Canadese hardrockcollectief Sven Gali. Na 25 jaar zijn ze er weer met een nieuwe EP met daarop de compositie Now waarbij nu een video beschikbaar is. De EP is uitgebracht door RFL Records die over Sven Gali zeggen:
“RFL Records is extremely proud to be releasing the new Sven Gali “3” EP. Being of fan of these guys since their debut in 1992, I was excited about signing them and bringing their message back to the masses after a 25-year hiatus. I think that the fans will be very happy with the new music and will have plenty more to hear from Sven Gali in the coming years. We have big plans to release a full-length album and unreleased material from the early days, so there will be plenty for the fans to sink their teeth into”
