The Night Flight Orchestra duikt de studio in

Nederland is in de ban van het Songfestival na de overwinning van Duncan Lawrence. Ondertussen likt Zweden (gedeeltelijk) de wonden. The Night Flight Orchestra werkt namelijk aan het nieuwe album dat een vervolg moet worden op het succesvolle Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough. De band is daarom de Nordic Sound Labs ingedoken voor de eerste opnames. 
Maar waar ligt nu de link naar het songfestival van afgelopen weekend, vraag je je misschien af.
Zanger Björn Strid (TNFO en Soilwork) doet vandaag uit de doeken dat de band de beschikking heeft over dezelfde drumkit waarmee songfestivalicoon ABBA het album Super Trouper uit 1980 mee opnam.
“We are beyond thrilled to be able to use such a musical piece of history for the recording of our new album. Jonas is highly influenced by Per Lindvall, the drummer in ABBA, who used this very kit, during the recording of ABBA’s masterpiece “Super Trouper” in 1979. The sound coming from this kit is still fantastic and it’s gonna give that extra flair to our sound. We’ve had two recording sessions so far in Nordic Sound Lab in Skara, Sweden and will have a 3rd final session in September. Then the new album is good to go.
