Na Circle Of Scythe is het Duitse The Very End nu zover om de nieuwe single uit te brengen. Het is de tweede single in aanloop naar het nieuwe album van de band.
De nieuwe single heet The Famine Years en de video was geschoten in de Zeche Zollverein World Heritage Site.
Gitarist René Bodanski (die zowel voor als achter de camera actief was): “It was something very special to shoot in the funnel hall on the grounds of the Zeche Zollverein,”
“The song ties in perfectly with the atmosphere of our last album “Zeitgeist” and develops it further,” zegt zanger Björn Gooßes.
Ondertussen zit de band midden in het schrijfproces voor het nieuwde album.
“Together with our label Apostasy Records, we have decided to bridge the time until the new album with a series of digitally
released singles,” zegtr René Bogdanski.
Zoals altijd is zanger Björn/Killustrations verantwoordelijk voor het artwork.
“This time, the motif has been thought out of the box, In keeping with the song title, it’s a detail of a group of vultures swooping down on their prey. As we all know, one man’s happiness is another man’s sorrow.”
